Its actually a Small Pox vaccine. They stopped giving it in like 1975 or something b/c small pox just went away. The vaccine is made up of a weakened version of Cow Pox, a closely realted virus. When you got the vaccine it would have your body make antibodies and Memory B cells so it would be ready to fight Small Pox if it ever entered your system. Hope this Helps!!!!!
