After I complete my DNA isolation, I find it very hard to dissolve the DNA pellet into solution. I performed a trizol isolation on HMVEC cells and I’ve tried using both TE and nuclease-free water to dissolve it, but neither works. I’ve also tried leaving it out overnight at room temperature, leaving it in 4* overnight and mixing, and have tried heating it. Anyone have any suggestions?
I know redoing it is probably the easiest way, but I’ve noticed this happens a lot during DNA isolation. I usually work with RNA and don’t have a problem, but DNA is tough. I only dry the vials for a couple of minutes after the ethanol step so that the pellet doesn’t over-dry, but I keep getting the same result.

Okay, so I am writing an essay to get into a Biotechnology Camp.
I have to write two essays an I need help with a few things

1) I hope to excel "into" advance placements courses such as….
Shoud it be into or in ( presently im not in any AP courses)

2) I am expecting this program to be a prolific and enjoyable experience for my ……..
What is another word for prolific except productive

3) This camp introduces various techniques in modern biotechnology research such as…..

What techniques should I put after "such as" that are specific to biotechonology or are just fit all. Below are a list of laboratory techiniques that is going done in this camp:

Laboratory Activities: Students will explore topics in three general areas of science: microbiology, biochemistry and molecular biology. Activities will include: growth, isolation and characterization of microbes, protein chemistry, chromatography, enzy-mology, regulation of gene expression, DNA isolation analysis, amplification (PCR) and genetic modification using standard laboratory model organisms (bacteria, yeast, Dictyostelium, Euglena, C. elegans).

I’ve been put in charge of genotyping some blood and I don’t have a protocol. My main question is, after DNA isolation and checking the concentration of DNA, do I then add the PCR mix and then the Master Mix? Are the PCR mix and the Master Mix the same thing? I know after that, I just go ahead, run the PCR, then run the gel, but I’m confused on those two steps. THANKS!

1) What are the properties of DNA that allows this molecule to be isolated ?
2) Why is it possible to spool up a single molecule like DNA ?

I kno I should do it myself, but it is too complicated, i mean my english is not enuff to understand.
