Onion DNA problem?
I gotta write a lab report for our onion dna isolation experiment. Since I am a foreigner, I can’t understand 2 questions very well,
1) What are the properties of DNA that allows this molecule to be isolated ?
2) Why is it possible to spool up a single molecule like DNA ?
I kno I should do it myself, but it is too complicated, i mean my english is not enuff to understand.

1) it is a large molecule with a negative charge (due to the phosphate groups). The negative charge interacts with another substance (e.g. silica, cellulose) and the resulting complex can be purified from the remaining cellular debris.
2) DNA is a very long molecule.
