If gene therapy were to become a common medical practice..?
Okay so I understand the concept now that gene therapy will alter a person’s DNA (hopefully in a good way!) but by altering the DNA, what effects would this have on society.
For example, lets say someone commits a crime today, and later down the road recieve gene therapy, & then after this therapy they are considered a supspect for said crime, would DNA samples from the crime scene still match this persons "new" DNA. How would gene therapy affect scenerios like this

I think it would still match. There are so many friggin genes in our bodies, even alternating a lot of them would still give the same match, but it would be like a 87% positive match instead of whatever it would have been before like 96% or so.
