Has anyone else seen I am Legend?
Now I am afraid to get a cervical cancer shot, because in the movie they used a virus to cure cancer, and it seems like the same thing here, what if that’s what happens?
Even though in the movie they manipulated the virus’s DNA, and with vaccines they only use dead viruses. Anyway I’m still scared. Anyone else?

First, that was just a movie. Second, the cervical cancer shot is not using a virus to prevent cancer. It is actually incorrect to call it a cervical cancer shot. It is a vaccine to try to help protect against 4 strains of hpv, which is a virus. They call it the cervical cancer shot because those 4 strains of hpv have been linked to cervical cancer.
This is not trying to cure or prevent cancer with a virus. This is a vaccine for a virus, just the same as all other vaccines, like say hepititus or chicken pox or those things.
